SUMMARYThe AutoZoner in this role will be DevOps focused. They will be responsible for assisting with researching, testing, and vetting new technology solutions for our stores mainly focused on hardware. The position will require communication and interaction with IT development teams and business partners regarding applications and software development. Partnering with vendors regarding price negotiations and EOL schedules for existing technology will also be required. Candidate must have knowledge and understanding of retail POS systems. Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask is a must.What Your Day Will Look Like:

Work closely with Refresh team to execute Hardware upgrade projects.

Assist with management of deployment process and schedule.

Manage and assist with training of AutoZone support technicians both FTE’s and contractors.

Visit stores periodically to get feedback on hardware functionality.

Answer phones to support stores and field technicians when needed.

Assist with tracking and maintaining emergency backup servers and ISR’s located in our RO’s.

Work with our 3rd party hardware depot and provide support for image servers and configuration processes as needed.

Be responsible for coaching, mentoring and preparing direct reports for next level opportunities.

What We Will Need to See:

Associate degree preferred.

5+ years’ experience

Linux System Administration experience

General Scripting: Shell and Perl

Understanding of Network Architecture with working knowledge

Of DNS, DHCP

Working knowledge of multiple hardware platforms servers, registers, switches, routers, access points and printers.

Basic problem solving, relevant domain and analytical skills

Functional/technical requirements gathering and documentation

Project management – estimating, planning, controlling, and execution

Functional/technical requirements gathering and documentation

Ability to perform tasks with little or no supervision

Strong leadership skills.
