DescriptionThis position is incentive eligible.IntroductionThe Operations Data Quality Manager will manage a data governance committee devoted to ensuring the quality of the data in the electronic data warehouse (EDW). The Operations Data Quality Manager will be the GME data expert and will own the accuracy of the GME data model within Teradata. Analysis may be applied to various areas of the business. Problems faced are difficult and often complex. Requires frequent communication and interaction with leadership and other data owners. The manager will be tasked with escalating data quality issues and ensuring that issues are addressed in a timely manner. The Manager also assists in translating both operations and clinical data into analytic questions, design and conduct rigorous analyses of health-related data, and translate analytic findings into actionable intelligence for HCA faculty and residents. This position serves as an expert resource in supporting data analytics for the HCA GME portfolio by performing a variety of activities related to data management, analysis, reporting, quality assurance and visualization.This Position is Work From Home with ability to travel specifically to the Brentwood, TN office a few times a year.Job Summary and Qualifications

Oversee, mentor, and train a team of data quality analysts.

Lead a data governance committee ensuring all key stake holders know who the data owners and stewards are for each data point.

Querying Teradata to assess quality of GME operations, education, and clinical data

Help to derive business intelligence to inform business decisions. Help to establish good reporting knowledge with key stakeholders to enable the business to report on KPIs for GME business, data quality, management of data collection activities and overall adoption of good data management practices.

Design of a data model that ensures efficiency and optimal reporting in PowerBI

A deep understanding of GME data including Healthcare claims data, financial data, Education data, and accreditation data.

Constructing and manipulating large electronic claims datasets, knowledge in domain modeling, relational database design, multiple programming language(s), Python, R, SAS and SQL, data transfer methods, and electronic health record and health care claims standards and/or analytical techniques used in research programs.

Articulate business questions and use mathematical techniques to arrive at an answer that supports executive team’s needs using data

Collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to gather and analyze needs and requirements;

Presenting data or analytic findings in a variety of formats (Power BI Dashboards, reports, PPT, graphs, figures and tables)

Develop and maintain knowledge of terminologies and coding procedures used in a health care environment.

Escalation of data quality issues and timely follow-up to ensure issues are addressed quickly

Maintenance of a security model to ensure minimum necessary standard are applied to clinical data

Ability to Travel to GME Programs (Up to 10%)

EDUCATION:

Masters or PhD from an accredited degree program providing training in a data related field, computer science, economics, statistics, informatics, data architecture or related field of study.

EXPERIENCE:

Experience in health services environment. (GME Experience Preferred)

Experience with large health care data sets including, electronic health records, Medicare claims, or other health care claims data sets preferred.

Experience with data governance

Staff Management experience

Software:

5 years’ SQL experience

5 years’ Healthcare analytics experience (Python, R, SAS)

3 years’ Experience with telling stories with data visualization via business intelligence tools such as PowerBI
