You will define the roadmap, team strategy and innovate with your team to deliver world class services.We’re looking for a Manager of Software Development with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in distributed systems, virtualized infrastructure, networking and highly available services. You should be comfortable with internet protocols, virtual networking and in developing cloud scale security services. You will be able to architect broad systems interactions, while being hands-on, and be able to dive deep into any part of the stack and higher-level system interactions. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.ResponsibilitiesAs a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture.Responsibilities
Work with customers, your team of engineers, product management, and the senior leadership in the OCI Networking organization to develop product and organizational strategy
Work closely with the leadership team, product managers, architects, and partner teams within Oracle to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Lead one or more development teams to deliver large-scale business critical software projects on-time with high quality
Actively coach your team to support their growth and build a high performing team
You will be responsible for the overall software development life cycle and managing complex projects.
You will manage your team's project, manage multiple competing priorities with effective prioritization and manage your stakeholders.
Maintain a high bar of operational excellence for services your team owns.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
