Job DescriptionJob Duties :As a member of the Support organization, deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. Resolve post-sales non-technical customer inquiries via phone and electronic means, as well as, technical questions regarding the use of and troubleshooting for our Electronic Support Services. A primary point of contact for customers, facilitate customer relationships with Support and provide advice and assistance to internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and escalated issues. As a Senior Principal Systems Engineer, focus in the creation and management of business solutions using Oracle technology, the operations surrounding it, and the Oracle services infrastructure needed to achieve the highest service levels (e.g., availability, performance, etc.) and consequent high customer satisfaction. Set overall technology direction for key areas to invest resources in, building internal expertise and leveraging knowledge within the Support organization. Resolve and help guide resolution of multiple highly difficult and complex problems and escalations involving several product areas, while providing consultation to senior technical advisors on projects, reviewing their work and advising areas for self-advancement. May work at various unanticipated locations throughout U.S. May telecommute. Planning infrastructure including sizing, performance considerations, interconnects and SCAN addresses;
Oracle Clusterware, ASM and Grid Infrastructure;
Implementation of Oracle RAC 19c and administration;
Implementation of Oracle Exadata and administration;
Implementation of Data Guard 19c and administration;
Installing, configuring, and upgrading/patching of oracle databases;
Programming Languages including SQL, PL/SQL and Shell Scripting; and
Implementing and monitoring Oracle RAC using Oracle OEM 19c.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
