Description Robert Half is currently looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team in the Healthcare/NHS industry for a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
An endless desire to improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Operate with business partners to create compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
Ad-hoc projects as required
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Take part in various department-wide initiatives
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors Requirements - Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with functional department managers
The ideal candidate will be highly-skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Credit Card Reconciliation experience
Background working with journal entries
Accounts Payable (AP) experience highly preferred
Previous experience working with Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics
Comprehensive knowledge of Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Microsoft Excel experience highly valued
Comprehension of Pivot Table
Earlier work involving general ledger
Good understanding of Dynamics GP
Demonstrated knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Deep understanding of cash reconciliations
Adeptness in financial reconciliation
General familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)
Experience with VLOOKUP
Practical knowledge of month end closings
Bank Account Reconciliation experience preferred
Daily Reconciliation experience highly desired
Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
A candidate with financial reporting systems proficiency will be the best fit for this position
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
5+ years of overall general accounting experience
