The Cash Specialist will be tasked with the financial cash management of the company's technology division. Responsible for the review and timely execution of correct application of applying incoming payments.RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reconcile all payment channels such as (credit card, Wire Transfer, ACH, Lockbox, etc.)
Research open payments
Update ACH tracker daily with cash received
Contact customers for the remittances copies to ensure payments get applied accurately and timely
Strong understanding of ACH, Lockbox and Wires functionality
Reconcile aged unapplied cash report
Facilitate intercompany ACHs
Correspond with internal team (Accounts Payable/Staff Accountant) to provide the GL code and account numbers to post payments
Correspond with Accounts Receivable Team to assist in research and apply the payments to the invoices
Report and escalate all non-recognized payments to the manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of three (3) years of Cash Applications experience
Exceptional analytical skills
Strong attention to details
Strong problem solving skills
Exceptional organizational skills; able to sort, compile, and interpret information
Expert or proficient in Excel - VLOOKUPs, pivots and formatting
Exceptional understanding of ACH, Lockbox and Wire functionality
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
SAPbyDesign or SAP experience
College degree in Accounting, Business Management/Administration, or related field of study
