The primary role of the Project Manager on this team is to manage the end to end project and associated milestones, success and acceptance criteria for deployment / migration of Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps technologies and to support the client’s application teams in their cloud migration.

WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT:

• Casts vision/strategy and sets business & technology objectives for cross departmental project teams.
• Meets with business and technology stakeholders to understand and synthesize needs.
• Partners with Technology Managers and Directors to lead Technology projects in support of the department's strategic plan. Viewed as a project Leadership resource responsible for driving analysis, recommendations, decisions and delivery
• Defines and drives complex project plans for multiple, simultaneous, related customers including scope and schedule and provides vision for delivery Teams working to achieve project goals using standard project management methodologies and practices
• Defines and drives complex program plans for multiple, simultaneous, related projects or for a single highly complex project including scope, budget and schedule and executes tasks defined in the program plan to achieve program goals
• Continually assesses project needs and resources to complete projects on time and within budget
• Validates and helps develop, business cases with Customers, as well as develops a project charter
• Provides content and context to drive Teams and Customers toward decisions
• Builds partnerships to collaborate and uses influence without authority to gather Customer and business requirements and communicate effectively with all project Teams and support groups
• Synthesizes communication for all levels of Leadership, including CSuite and Executive and Senior Vice President roles
• Defines acceptance criteria and definition of done for major milestones
• Partners with resource managers, Business Partners and vendors to assemble a project Team and provide ongoing motivation to drive projects to completion
• Mentors and coaches other project managers
• Proactively monitors risks, issues, and scope, ensuring the appropriate level of priority, visibility and escalation
• Leads and facilitates project meetings and presentations to Leadership
• Engages and initiates change leadership to ensure project acceptance
• Establishes cross functional alliances within and outside of the Technology Department to drive results
• Proactively communicates with Stakeholders, Sponsors and Project Teams to maintain project alignment

EDUCATION:

• College degree in Technology, Finance, Business or equivalent work experience
• MBA is preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

• 5 + years’ work experience in project management

o Experience managing an end-to-end migration of on-premise applications to AWS Cloud platform preferred
o Experience with engineering in or managing projects in DevOps / rapid application continuous delivery environments preferred
o Experience managing application adoption of Gitlab preferred
o Experience managing projects in an SAFe/Scaled Agile / Scrum environment preferred

• Advanced knowledge of Powerpoint, Thinkcell, Confluence, Jira, and virtual collaboration tools required (such as Sharepoint, Teams, WebEx, Miro)
• Advance knowledge of meeting facilitation required
• Advanced knowledge of status reporting, issues/risk management, project change control required
• Proficient knowledge of strategic and financial analysis required

LICENSING/CERTIFICATION:

• AWS Certification (Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) or equivalent certification or cloud computing degree preferred
• Lean Six Sigma Certified preferred
• SAFe certifications preferred

SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:

• Advanced technical acumen needed to understand underlying technology, systems, architecture, and functionality of various products across digital portfolio and platforms
• Prior project experience with Industry Cloud Platforms, solutions and technologies (AWS, Azure, Google, IBM) is a plus
• Advanced knowledge of application impact on operational and business functions
• Advanced knowledge of software change, release, and problem management procedures and tools
• Advanced knowledge of project management productivity tools (JIRA, Rally, Confluence, MS Project, Visio, MS Office Suite, SharePoint, Quick Base)
• Advanced knowledge of SAFE and Agile methodologies
• Knowledge of Cloud concepts in Iaas (Infrastructure as a Service), Paas (Platform as a Service) environments
• Knowledge of Infrastructure Project Management (servers, routers, network security, etc.)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Continuous Delivery principles
• Ability to manage development partners to meet deliverables and project objectives
