Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the software industry, based in Dallas, Texas, United States. We're actively seeking a Controller to join our team. In this role, you'll be expected to oversee all company accounting operations, implement and manage the monthly close process, and prepare consolidated financial statements. This role also involves interaction with third-party consultants and auditors.Responsibilities:
Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including variance, profitability, and revenue recognition reports.
Oversee compliance with Sales and Use Tax regulations, including audit support and reporting.
Optimize working capital management to support operational needs and strategic goals.
Prepare and maintain detailed cash flow projections to guide financial planning.
Provide recommendations for weekly cash disbursements aligned with cash flow forecasts.
Safeguard company assets by implementing and maintaining rigorous internal controls.
Develop and enforce comprehensive financial policies and procedures to ensure sound financial decision-making.
Drive process improvements to achieve timely and accurate financial close cycles, leveraging appropriate technologies.
Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate accurate reporting and compliance.
Establish robust accounting and financial reporting frameworks that support strategic decision-making.
Ensure accurate and timely invoicing and oversee accounts receivable management processes.
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment through effective leadership of the accounting team.
Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.
Extensive knowledge of Accounting Functions is necessary. Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management is essential. Familiarity with Auditing processes is a must. Ability to handle Budget Processes effectively. Experience with NetSuite software is beneficial. Familiarity with SaaS environment is preferred. Understanding of Sales Tax regulations and processes. Proficient in Revenue Recognition practices. Skilled in Financial Reporting tasks. Experience in Financial Statements Consolidation.
