Cost Specialist

Description We are in the process of hiring a Cost Specialist for our team in the Plastics Manufacturing industry, located in DALLAS, Texas, United States. The role involves various tasks related to demand planning, inventory management, and cost analysis. Responsibilities: Develop and refine demand plan forecasts in collaboration with Sales, Supply Planning, Manufacturing, and Finance teams Lead S& OP consensus meetings based on the demand forecast Implement the agreed-upon demand forecast with the Supply Planning team and monitor its accuracy Identify and implement best practices to improve forecast accuracy and overall process improvement Oversee the valuation and reconciliation of inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance Manage inventory needs across multiple categories and make informed buying decisions based on sales trends and market intelligence Communicate risk forecast attainment to the necessary stakeholders Develop and analyze cost/pricing standards in collaboration with the VP of Finance Analyze production costs, variances, and trends to provide insight for management decision making Master item data management and ensure its accuracy Use Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Crystal Reports, Epicor, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Auditing, Budget Processes, Cash Activity to perform tasks effectively. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required Experience with ADP - Financial Services is necessary Ability to work with Crystal Reports is desirable Familiarity with Epicor software is advantageous Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is crucial Familiarity with accounting functions is necessary Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is beneficial Auditing skills are required Understanding of budget processes is necessary Ability to manage cash activity is crucial.
