D365 F&O Data Migration Specialist - Dallas, TX

This end user is looking to bring in a Dynamics AX Data Migration Specialist on the team ASAP.

This individual will oversee all data cleansing, modeling, and migration preparation activities relating to the Dynamics 365 F&O implementation, coordinating directly with SMEs and business leaders across the organization as well as external contractors to ensure a successful transition. This individual will need to be outgoing and self-motivated as the company culture has a family feel with self-managing expectations.

Primary Accountabilities:


  • Responsible for drafting, publishing and communicating new enterprise data standards and policies across the various business segments and areas that utilize (formally and informally) enterprise data and information.

  • Charged with driving acceptance of and adherence to newly implemented data standards and policies.

  • Define, maintain and advise relevant stakeholders as appropriate on data governance related matters.

  • Provide recommendations and supporting documentation for new or proposed data standards, business rules and policy.

  • Coordinate across the organization in order to maintain consistency of critical enterprise, digital, operational and analytical data.

  • Overseeing and ensuring delivery of all aspects of data analysis, mapping and transfer.

  • Effectiveness in building trust, respect and cooperation among teams.


Qualifications and Skills


  • 3-5+ years of experience working in Data Management and Governance

  • Strong data management background who understands data, how to ingest data, proper data use / consumption, data quality, and stewardship

  • 3-5 years of experience with Dynamics AX / 365 F&O

  • 2-3 years of experience with SQL and Salesforce

  • Experience within the Distribution or Manufacturing modules would be a plus

  • Experience of working in a complex, multi-priority organization

  • Ability to explain complex, technical information in a nontechnical, easy-to-understand way

  • Ability to build processes that support data transformation, workload management, data structures, dependency and metadata

  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools like Tableau or Power BI

  • Results orientated with a willingness to commit to a direction and drive operations to completion

  • Demonstrated ability to manage adversity and challenging situations

  • Risk Data Integration Specialist As a Risk Data Integration Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and improving processes, sharing data between applications, and implementing process improvements in Archer. This requires understanding business processes and Archer configuration/design, data sources and integration opportunities, and leading collaboration among business and technical stakeholders across all three lines of defense. Design processes aligned to risk programs policies, regulations and standards; implementing end-to-end workflows (i.e. risk/issue identification, risk assessment, etc.) in Archer for multiple risk programs: Operational Risk, Third-Party Risk, and Issues Management. Engage with senior leaders regarding risk business process integration; explaining key developments, regulatory findings/requirements, issues, timelines, policy/standards alignment, training and how they apply to target solutions. Lead enterprise initiatives to integrate foundational (data) components (business processes, risk classifications, control classifications, etc.) strengthening the use of risk taxonomies across enterprise risk, compliance and operational risk programs. Establish a consistent \"line of sight\" for aggregating risk metrics (i.e. risk exposure and mitigation) across multiple lines of business. Lead efforts to identify and define risk process use cases; transforming them into action plans and detailed requirements documentation. Work closely with both business and technical teams to ensure alignment and understanding of what is requested and what is systemically possible. Position Responsibilities: Process Design Apply knowledge of financial institution business processes (specifically Comerica lines of business) to identify process improvement opportunities resulting in better risk management/risk reduction. Develop strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to deliver process improvements within a project environment. Meet with stakeholders to set annual goals for process improvement, efficiency, and risk reduction. Research and maintain knowledge of market conditions, update stakeholders on changes, risks and opportunities. Serve as a primary point of contact between departments, ensuring seamless communication and information sharing. Foster collaboration between teams or entities by organizing meetings, workshops, and discussions to align goals and strategies. Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to coordinate efforts and ensure alignment with organizational objectives, address conflicts, bottlenecks, or issues hindering collaboration and propose viable solutions. Requirements Development & Implementation Conduct needs assessments to understand the business requirements and identify areas for improvement or integration. Develop business requirements in collaboration with users and help translate to technical requirements with Archer support technical teams. Work cross-functionally to support and deploy solutions. Data Integration Identify internal and external data sources to support risk management initiatives. Lead development of integration (API, etc.) with Archer technical team.
