Growing together.The Data Integrity Specialist (DIS) role will be responsible for reviewing and reconciling COBRA inbound and outbound error reports that result from incoming and outgoing COBRA electronic data files (EDI) received / sent by clients, carriers, and Third - Party Administrators (TPA) that contain COBRA Qualifying Event, New Hire, and Direct Bill events to ensure timely processing of the data and accurate notification. The DIS will be expected to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment that requires significant coordination, communication, and cross - functional support. The DIS role will support the EDI Business Analysts to analyze and identify trends in data file issues and work with them to correct those defects. This role requires high levels of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to identify trends in data.This position is full - time. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. It may be necessary, given the business need (during peak season), to work occasional overtime or weekends.We offer weeks of paid training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.Primary Responsibilities:

Review / research record errors by comparing error reports against system information and raw data files

Send / Receive emails to / from Clients / Third Party Administrators (TPA) to reconcile / gather necessary information to update and / or process records

Receive / Send emails to / from Carriers in response to member eligibility questions and verification of enrollment status

Possess analytical and researching techniques to trend defects and repetitive errors

Initiate internal tickets to EDI Analysts identifying errors for them to work with Client / Carrier / TPA to correct file

Initiate and assist with developments / changes to increase and / or improve quality and productivity

Reduce file errors

High School Diploma / GED OR 3+ years of equivalent working experience

1+ years of experience in an office setting environment, using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform job duties

1+ years of healthcare insurance experience

Computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Microsoft Word (editing, etc.)

Ability to work any 8-hour shift between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM the flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends based on business need (during peak season)

Must be 18 years of age OR older

Telecommuting Requirements:

Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)

Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy

Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Washington, or Rhode Island Residents Only: The hourly range for California / Colorado / Connecticut / Hawaii / Nevada / New York / New Jersey / Washington / Rhode Island residents is $16.54 - $32.55 per hour.
