Director Hospitalist Operations-Texas Health Physicians GroupJob DutiesHOSPITALIST OPERATIONSProvides management oversight and leadership to the THPG hospitalist service line in assigned territory. Develops, trains and mentors practice managers and employees. Ensures overall smooth operations of services line. Serve as a liaison and advocate for providers. Ensures providers are working their contracted number of shifts and report out the data on a monthly basis.FINANCEEnsures that operations are on budget and in compliance. Includes keeping operations and providers performing at optimal levels in terms of productivity and financial performance. In collaboration with the senior director, assists in developing the operating and capital budgets for assigned practices. Prepare proformas for changes to existing services or potential new services. Calculate provider bonus payouts (including Productivity, Quality, Citizenship and HCAHPS) as needed.HUMAN RESOURCESEnsure all company policies and procedures are implemented and followed in the service line. Informs the appropriate director or senior leader (human resources, quality, compliance, legal, service excellence) of any issues of non-compliance and obtain guidance in taking corrective action, when necessary.REVENUE CYCLEPartners with MSO to ensure daily and monthly tasks at the clinic are completed. Monitor and manage service line metrics (i.e Charge Review WQ and Charge Edit WQ volumes, VOB, PCR, Denials, etc.)STRATEGIC INITIATIVESCreates actions plans for the established KPI's for THPG Hospitalists. Ensures that action plans are delivered upon for the assigned practices. Request, collect, maintain and track quality metrics on a monthly basis and prepare 6 month hospitalist dashboards for each entity. Heavily relying on Excel and Power Point for analyzing, tracking data and metrics and preparation for hospital entity meetings with providers and hospital leadership.EducationH.S. Diploma or equivalent and 4 additional years experience in lieu of Bachelor's Degree requiredBachelor's Degree Business or healthcare related field requiredExperience5 years previous hospital leadership, business leadership or physician practice management experience (with Bachelor's Degree) required.
