The Director of Housekeeping provides strategic leadership for all housekeeping operations throughout The Knox, ensuring every guest room, residence, public space, and heart-of-house area reflects the exceptional standards of Auberge Collection. This role is responsible for developing departmental strategy, financial performance, operational excellence, and a culture of genuine hospitality while leading, coaching, and inspiring a high-performing leadership team. Working closely with departments across the hotel, the Director of Housekeeping plays a critical role in delivering the highest standards of luxury hospitality, creating exceptional experiences for both guests and residence owners, and continuously elevating quality, efficiency, and service throughout the property.Provide strategic leadership for all housekeeping operations, ensuring guest rooms, residences, public spaces, and heart-of-house areas consistently reflect the highest standards of luxury hospitality.Develop departmental goals, operating strategies, SOPs, training programs, and quality standards that support operational excellence and exceptional guest experiences.Ensure guestrooms, residences, and accommodations for Notable Guests and VIP arrivals are meticulously prepared, personalized, and aligned with guest preferences and luxury service expectations.Partner with the Hotel Manager, Director of Front Office and department leaders to optimize daily operations, room readiness, interdepartmental collaboration, and the overall guest experience.Train, coach, and develop leaders and team members while fostering a culture of engagement, recognition, accountability, and professional growth.Monitor guest feedback, quality audits, and service recovery opportunities, implementing strategies that continually enhance cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction.Drive departmental performance through operational excellence, financial stewardship, labor management, productivity, and team engagement.Develop and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, staffing plans, and operational strategies that align labor resources with occupancy and business demands.Analyze operational and financial performance metrics to identify trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives.Oversee housekeeping operations for residences, laundry services, inventories, purchasing, vendor relationships, and departmental resources to ensure operational readiness and fiscal responsibility.Establish and maintain quality assurance programs through inspections, audits, coaching, and compliance with Auberge Collection standards, safety regulations, and applicable laws.Lead departmental planning for special projects, deep cleaning initiatives, renovations, and pre-opening or capital improvement activities while partnering with Engineering to support preventative maintenance programs and room readiness.Support hotel emergency procedures and business continuity plans, ensuring departmental preparedness and operational resilience.Champion innovation, sustainability, and best practices that enhance operational efficiency, environmental responsibility, and the overall guest experience.
