American Airlines Customer is seeking a Senior Engineer focused on Team Member Data Services. This team supports all applications related to recruiting, hiring and onboarding employees.
This job is within the Employee Technology Division.
Responsible for providing technical direction and leadership in regard to the design, development, and deployment of solutions within our customer base. The Senior Engineer comes up with innovative solutions for business and technical problems, creates and maintains technical specifications, as well as anticipates and acts upon issues that arise, providing alternate approaches and solutions, communicates decisions clearly, and sets the standard for highest quality of work.

Work as a Senior Engineer for Team Member Services suite of products
Collaborates with leaders, business analysts, project managers, IT architects, technical leads and other developers, along with internal customers, to understand requirements and develop a strategy appropriate to the business requirements for quarterly Roadmap
Participate in detailed estimating sessions
Drive consensus on technical approach, timelines, and participates with cross-functional application teams from design through delivery
Maintains and enhances existing enterprise services, applications, and platforms using domain driven design and test-driven development
Troubleshoots and debugs complex issues; identifies and implements solutions
Researches and implements new technologies to enhance current processes, security, and performance
Supports the development of coding standards and adheres to best practices and security guidelines
Works closely with software architects and technical leads to ensure decisions meet long-term enterprise growth needs
Actively participate in code development
All you'll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
5 years of experience delivering software solutions using ITIL / Agile / XP, or similar methodologies
Experience with Cloud Technologies and transitioning applications to the cloud
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
Experience working with Azure ADF and Databricks
