Financial Crimes Sr Compliance AssociateThis role supports the execution of the enterprise compliance programs related to financial crimes prevention, to ensure the organization complies with all relevant laws and regulations. Working under limited supervision, this role will liaise with the lines of business to provide governance, training, and advisory services pertaining to the Bank Secrecy and US PATRIOT Acts. Responsibilities may also include development of written communication and analysis of regulatory changes as directed by the US AML Governance Director.Key Responsibilities and Duties
Performs AML and Sanctions risk assessments to test the effectiveness of current enterprise compliance controls and to identify issues, concerns, and deficiencies.
Identifies opportunities to revise policies and procedures to improve the general operation of AML compliance programs.
Assists in the management of the AML and Sanctions training program through enhancement of training content and processing of training enrollment and violations.
Supports TIAA business partners by responding to escalations and questions and providing guidance and direction in AML and Sanctions matters.
Supports the review and disposition of regulatory change management (RCM) alerts related to AML/Sanctions applicability.
Assists with audit/compliance testing/regulatory exam management routines.
Assists management with oversight functions such as preparation of committee and reporting materials.
