Loss Mitigation Underwriter - Remote

Will be working 100% remote and will be provided equipment!A large Mortgage company is hiring fully remote Loss Mitigation Underwriters to join the team for a great opportunity!Responsibilities:

The Underwriter, Loss Mit I is responsible for the underwriting of loss mitigation options for all workout types on all loan types. Will need to maintain and acquire any licensing requirements.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Responsible for processing servicing loan documents, in digital format, and load them into the document management system to optimize business processes, meet regulatory requirements and customer care needs

Responsible for digitally combining packages and checking image for quality and accuracy.

Responsible for identifying correct borrower loan number and cross-reference by name, address, phone number, social security number or email address in LoanServ and Valeri.

Load document images to electronic document repository database - EDMS and accurately categorize/index.

Qualifications:

2-4+ years of previous Loss Mitigation experience required - must be within the last 2 years

Experience with Mortgage Processing, Closing, or Underwriting, but must have Loss Mitigation experience

High School Diploma or GED required

Experience with document scanning and indexing

Proficient in Excel, Adobe Acrobat and knowledge of various file formats

No previous or active real estate licenses or NMLS loan licenses are allowed, cannot work here due to conflict of interest
