This job is a member of the member of the Digital Channels team within the Corporate Communications division
Responsible for ensuring a consistent and brand-focused visual aesthetic of the American’s digital and web-based communications and in collaboration with departments across the company
What you'll do
Lead the team responsible for overseeing the delivery of enterprise internal and external digital content and platform strategy for the American Airlines intranet, Newsroom, digital signage, and other key communication platforms
Collaborate with content creators, marketers, and designers to implement cohesive content strategies that drive user engagement and satisfaction
Act as a strategic advisor to stakeholders, helping them understand how to leverage digital platforms effectively to achieve communication and business objectives
Utilize CMS platforms to manage and update website content, ensuring that changes align with broader content strategies and user experience goals
Ensure the scalability and flexibility of web design solutions to accommodate evolving business needs and content strategies
Connect the dots across multiple departments to ensure corporate communications reach our team members and constantly improve our strategy
Manage multiple stakeholders to ensure systems are running smoothly and assist with issues they might be experiencing within our channels
Partner with the editorial and creative brand teams to Integrate multimedia content (videos, graphics, animations) into websites, emails, and digital signage to create dynamic and interactive experiences
Oversee aspects of production for digital projects, including schedules, routing and approvals to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
Apply front-end development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to build seamless digital experiences, ensuring that design and functionality are optimized for usability and performance
Translate technical concepts into accessible language for non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that they understand the benefits and potential of proposed digital solutions
All you'll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or equivalent experience field
5 years of content experience
2 years managing others
Proficiency in front-end development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design frameworks)
Experience with digital design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, etc.)
Solid understanding of content management systems (CMS) and experience in managing website content
Familiarity with email platforms (Axios HQ, Mailchimp, HubSpot, or similar) and digital signage technologies
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Experience using Adobe Creative suite

Ability to balance creative design with practical business needs, ensuring that content is both visually compelling and aligned with stakeholder objectives.
Strong understanding of web design best practices, UX/UI principles, and how they impact content consumption and user engagement.

Ability to conceptualize and implement digital solutions that meet marketing and communications goals while also enhancing user experience.
Passion for exploring new digital tools and techniques that can improve how content is designed, presented, and consumed across platforms.
Ability to calmly handle live, breaking news situations and the ability to deal with the rapid pace of news
Alacrity and strong organizational skills with the ability to switch between projects quickly
Product owner experience with knowledge of Agile methodology and writing user stories
Knowledge of online CMS and production systems with a passion and vision for emerging media
Ability to analyze data and identify behavioral trends
