Mgr, Inventory Accounting

The main purpose of this role is to develop and maintain proper accounting and internal controls and practices in the inventory and warehousing function across all Topgolf brands. This role will also manage and maintain proper accounting and internal controls over the Top Tracer business, including revenue recognition, COGS analysis and AR. This will include using influence and collaboration when working with the procurement department and AP, as well as our international teams. This role also will work directly with internal and external auditors. This role will research technical accounting issues and provide guidance to accounting on how to record transactions appropriately. On top of that, there will be lots of opportunities to work on special projects within accounting and finance.Job Responsibilities

Review and manage the inventory accounting process for Topgolf (20% of time)

Review and manage the Top Tracer line of business accounting process in accordance with ASC 606 and ASC 842 (20% of time)

Research and analyze fluctuations between current financial results compared to budget, prior year and prior month.Reconciliation of inventory, including research of any variances with Procurement Department, Accounts Payable, warehouses and venues (20% of time)

Lead the COGS analysis review for all Topgolf venues (5% of time)

Ensure the timely and accurate posting of JEs, balancing, and reconciliation of the general ledger for the Inventory and Toptracer areas in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (10% of time)

Participate on quarterly and annual audit in coordination with our financial reporting team (5% of time)

Work with the accounting team to implement process and control improvements (10 % of time)

Ensures the timely and accurate posting, balancing, and reconciliation of the general ledger for the Inventory and Toptracer areas in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (10 % of time)

Critical Skills & Experience Requirements

High energy and enthusiasm, with a strong commitment to exceeding expectations

Proven ability to positively lead and develop a small team

Strong organizational and time management skills

Intermediate/Advanced understanding of the MS office suite of products, including Word, Excel

Ability to work and research/resolve issues independently while sharing best practices and knowledge with colleagues

Ability to organize multiple priorities and projects coupled with the flexibility to quickly adapt to ever changing business questions and needs

Team player with desire to be part of a fun and rapidly growing concept

Flexibility to work on a variety of assignments, projects, or roles

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Required)

CPA (Preferred)

3+ years of experience with a solid understanding of ASC842 and ASC 606 (Required)

5+ years of experience with strong communication and interpersonal skills, displaying the ability to connect and build relationships (Required)

2+ years of experience with SAP (Preferred)

2+ years of public accounting experience (Preferred)
