Perfect for retired or semi-retired person. This quarterly part-time position entails an estimated 50-70 hours over a two-week period at the end of March, June, September and December. To be considered for this position you must have reliable transportation, a good sense of direction, be able to read maps/GPS and have great attention to detail.
There will be field training and office training explaining how to complete the survey from start to finish. Surveyor will be given all the necessary tools to complete the survey for their assigned territory. Part of the responsibilities include driving to each area in route order and making accurate markings on the residential subdivision plats regarding the status of the land or lots and homes in the subdivision. When the driving is done the paperwork begins with the transfer of the markings from the plats to the tally sheet for each area. Once all the field work and paperwork are complete the plats and the tally are boxed up and shipped back to our office.
Being detailed oriented is very important from start to finish. Driving accounts for about seventy-five per cent of the estimated total hours.
