The Program Manager will coordinate, direct and implement projects and transformation activities to achieve outcomes and realize benefits of strategic importance to our client. The Program Manager partners with interdepartmental management teams and their staff to analyze and address business needs and/or deficiencies involving processes, products, services, and/or technology. This is based on alignment with strategic goals and business strategy, and maintaining high standards of project management and service quality while meeting customers’ needs in the most cost effective manner. The position may also lead and direct the work of others in a cross-functional team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Builds strong relationships with both internal and external clients.
  • Facilitates brainstorming sessions to gather project ideas and develop a pipeline of opportunities.
  • Supports and leads assigned business units by investigating opportunities and problems related to current processes, products or services. Responds to inquiries or requests for modifications and/or improvements, and recommends, facilitates, and coordinates solutions.
  • Participates in developing the project budget and tracking and reporting of project savings and overages.
  • Supports and leads project management duties for assigned business initiatives, work streams and operational components.
  • Applies consultative approach to lead functional planning and design, and operational/procedural planning and design when implementing new systems and/or product enhancements.
  • Leads development of interdepartmental business applications and data needs.
  • Leads detailed technical and functional business rules and requirements.
  • Leads cross-team collaboration to ensure projects and operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Ensures adherence to published Bank project management methodology, resulting in consistent development and implementation of project components.
  • Provides direction and guidance to Business / Technical Analysts, and is indirectly responsible for performance reviews
  • May assist with other banking functions as assigned and according to business necessity.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, management or a related field is required.
  • 7-10 years of business in project management, with 5+ years demonstrated program/portfolio management experience leading multiple projects/project teams
  • Previous experience in business analysis; change management; strategic planning; operations or vendor management is preferred.
  • Previous experience in banking of financial services environment, strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrates a high level of knowledge of Program/Project Management and Process Improvement
  • Experience participating in and leading large, complex cross-functional projects.
  • Strong proficiency in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio to perform analyses, complete reports, and prepare presentations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to give presentations to all levels of management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to be influential and establish positive working relationships across the organization.
  • Ability to perform and conduct business analysis, strategy, product and project management, and/or process improvement initiatives in a corporate environment. Ability to apply analytical findings to current situation, draw conclusions, and achieve results.
  • In-depth knowledge of business assessment tools such as analysis/needs assessments, feasibility studies, business case and cost/benefit analyses.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a proven ability to multitask and ability to work independently.
