We are always moving forward – always pushing ourselves to go further in our efforts to build a more equitable, inclusive world for our employees, our customers and our communities.The RoleAs a Data Transformation Project Manager, you will lead and coordinate data migration & modernization projects, ensuring seamless transitions from legacy data platforms (Green Plum, ODW, Terradata, etc.) to modern cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure Data Fabric, Snowflake, etc.). You will collaborate with technical teams, stakeholders, and end-users to deliver successful data migration & modernization projects within scope, time, and budget constraints. As a Data Transformation PM, you’ll draw upon the full breadth of your talent and experience. This is a project management/early consulting type of a role, so we want you to bring your vision, knowledge, and leadership to each project and to maturing our Data capabilities. You will be working closely with our Data Architect and Data Service Owner in shaping the Data practice.You are responsible for leading a project team in delivering a solution to the customer using the appropriate business measurements and terms and conditions for the project according to the project charter, project agreement or contract. Responsible for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables, which includes applying techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management. Manages all project resources, including subcontractors, and for establishing an effective communication plan with the project team and the client. Provides day to day direction to the project team and regular project status to the customer.Project Planning:

Develop detailed project plans outlining data migration & modernization strategies, timelines, and resource requirements.

Collaborate with stakeholders to define data migration & modernization goals, scope, and success criteria.

Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.

Team Leadership:

Help build a road map for the team with the guidance of the practice owner.

Help to value stream map the capability, delivery, and opportunity pipelines.

Develop project management collateral (project governance, repeatable assets, business processes, tools processes, etc.) as the capability matures into the Factory.

Lead cross-functional teams, including data analysts, data engineers, and IT specialists.

Foster collaboration among team members and departments involved in the migration & modernization process.

Provide guidance and support throughout the data migration & modernization project lifecycle.

Help orchestrate tools & operations architecture for the team (SharePoint, Teams, OneNote, etc.).

Data Assessment, Mapping, and Technical Coordination:

Conduct thorough assessments of existing data structures and sources.

Collaborate with data analysts to create comprehensive data mapping and transformation plans.

Ensure data quality and integrity during the migration & modernization process.

Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compatibility and integration with existing systems.

Oversee the development and implementation of data migration & modernization scripts, ETL processes, and validation procedures.

Address technical challenges and ensure smooth data transfer.

Testing and Validation:

Develop and implement comprehensive testing plans to ensure the accuracy and reliability of migrated data.

Coordinate with end-users to validate data accuracy and functionality.

Conduct post-migration & modernization assessments and performance monitoring.

Stakeholder Communication:

Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and key metrics.

Address concerns and expectations, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Documentation and Reporting:

Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and lessons learned.

Generate comprehensive reports highlighting key insights and recommendations.

There are many different types and flavors of PM roles, so everyone can find the opportunity that suits them best.If you are hired, the anticipated compensation range for the position $89,030 to $203,000 is based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately.If this is a sales role, you may be eligible for additional incentive compensation opportunities. Bachelor's or Master's degree or experience in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Information Technology, Project Management).

Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience in project management, particularly with data-centric projects.

Strong understanding of data concepts, analytics, databases, ETL processes, and data-driven decision-making.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.

Familiarity with data migration & modernization tools, data visualization tools, and techniques.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

Familiar with Cloud Data Services.

Demonstrate an understanding of a Modern Data Product.

Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.

Knowledge of data governance, compliance, ethical considerations, and security best practices.

Familiarity with relevant technologies, databases, and analytics tools.

Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
