You will coordinate with internal and external architects and engineers, as well as clients, construction managers, subcontractors, and vendors.You will manage multiple complex tasks, establish priorities, and help direct the work of others on projects. You may act as the mechanical point-of-contact for clients, other disciplines, pre-con services for their scope areas, and help complete complex project code analysis, plan and prepare bid/permit/construction deliverables (including details and specifications), and understand the technical and design aspects of CRB's market areas. You will develop project documents (e.g. calculations, reports and construction drawings and specifications, etc) for clients according to regulatory and industry standards and work with other disciplines to ensure system designs are fully coordinated from conception through completion.You will also have the opportunity to provide mentorship to earlier-career engineers on projects related to refrigeration, HVAC, and plant and clean utilities. Key Responsibilities:Design and engineer HVAC and mechanical utilities, including ammonia refrigeration, glycol refrigeration, and air conditioning systems.Oversee mechanical discipline scope and design budget on projects.Coordinate with internal and external architects, engineers, clients, construction managers, subcontractors, vendors, and manufacturers.Conduct site selection, master planning, commissioning, load calculations, utility assessments, energy modeling, and code evaluations.Develop design reports, plans, P&IDs, schedules, installation details, and equipment specifications.Direct design activities from conceptual design to detailed design to construction administration.Act as the Engineer of Record, managing workflows and supporting staff to meet project goals.Serve as the mechanical point-of-contact for clients and other disciplines.Conduct field surveys and support construction activities, including RFI responses and submittal reviews.Ensure quality checking of documents and overall project quality.Provide mentorship to less experienced engineers and designers.
