(Rotating on call and holiday coverage)Surgery highlights:· Texas Health Dallas has 24 Main OR Suites, 2 Endovascular rooms, 3 Robot rooms, 2 Heart rooms.· Fast Paced, High Volume of Open Vascular, Endo Vascular, and Hearts· Level I Trauma facility. Strong Minimally Invasive CV programHere’s What You Need· Associate degree Nursing required or Nursing Diploma· BSN (Preferred)· 1 Year Experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program (Required)· Ortho or Ortho Trauma experience as a registered nurse in the Operating Room· RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required upon hire)· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required upon hire)· ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire (Preferred)What You Will Do· Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process· OR RN Surgery Circulator duties and skills· Assesses the patient· Plans the care of the patient· Intervenes as appropriate· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.Additional perks of being a Texas Health Registered Nurse· Benefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flex spending, tuition reimbursement, student loan repayment programs as well as several other benefits.· Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice.· Strong Unit Based Council (UBC).· A supportive, team environment with outstanding opportunities for growth.For more than a half-century, Texas Health Dallas has been at the forefront of health care in North Texas.
