Posting Number: S05989PDepartment: BioengineeringSalary Range: Depending on QualificationsPay Basis: MonthlyPosition Status: Regular full-timeLocation: RichardsonJob Description: A research engineer associate position in biomedical imaging, data science, and artificial intelligence is immediately available in the Quantitative Bioimaging Laboratory at the Center for Imaging and Surgical Innovation at the University of Texas at Dallas and UT Southwestern Medical Center. The research engineer associate will work in a collaborative research team that includes biomedical engineers, computer scientists, electrical engineers, radiologists, surgeons, and other clinicians. The candidate will collaborate with other researchers, residents, postdoctoral fellows, graduate and undergraduate students in an outstanding research group. The research laboratory is located in the Bioengineering and Science Building at the University of Texas at Dallas. The candidate will have the opportunity for high-quality training in research, education, and leadership. Research areas cover biomedical imaging, medical devices, machine learning, augmented reality, image processing, and image-guided interventions.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in the field of assignment.Preferred Education and Experience: The preferred candidate should have a bachelor or master’s degree in biomedical engineering, electrical and computer engineering, systems engineering, computer science, public health, or other related fields. The preferred candidate should have some experience in research study design and/coordination. Knowledge of biomedical imaging and its biological and medical applications is required for this position. This position requires research initiatives and independent problem-solving skills.
