OverviewMaster Halco , North America’s leading manufacturer/distributor of fencing and perimeter security products is seeking a Shipping Coordinator.The Shipping Coordinator will prepare bills of lading for use by warehouse personnel and common carriers.Reviews rates, schedules, locations of common carrier routes and determines "best-routing" for all shipments and arranges pick-up schedules with carriers.Determines weights on all sales orders/bills of lading and distributes sales order form copies. Coordinates with warehouse and inventory control personnel on sales orders/shipments.This is a very exciting time to join our company. Prepares bills of lading for all shipments including destination, weights, description of material, etc.

Processes sales orders indicating shipping weights, dates and special orders for warehouse personnel. Distributes annotated sales order to warehouse, etc.

Coordinates with common carriers on rates, schedules, pick-up and arrival times/dates. Uses judgment and experience to determine "best-route" carrier and determines shipping mode for transfer loads and L.T.L. shipments.

Communicates with customers, vendors, warehouse and inventory/sales personnel regarding shipping/delivery dates and partial and back orders.

Coordinates with Yard Supervisor and drivers for pick up of material from vendors.

May perform related inventory or other administrative duties.

Keeps work areas clean.

Performs related and incidental work assignments as required.
