Job summary
Amazon Business is one of Amazon's fastest growing new initiatives focused on building solutions to enable business customers to research, discover and buy business, industrial and scientific products in large catalogs; across multiple devices, marketplaces and regions. Our customers include individual professionals, businesses and institutions that buy in either high frequency or in bulk quantities. Our customers have different and frequently more complex needs than the traditional Amazon customer base, such as business-only selection and pricing, multi-user business accounts, approval workflows, business payment solutions, tax exemptions, dedicated business customer support and much more.
We are looking for experienced and motivated people to be part of the Foundational Services team, and help build a system to coordinate and enforce actions and steps needed to compliantly execute business transactions. This system will be used to support the evolution of Amazon Business in capturing additional areas of the B2B market including core expenditures that are required and planned by businesses.

Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer on this team, you will collaborate with other experienced and software engineers to drive improvements to our technology, design and develop new services and software solutions, and build and track metrics to ensure high quality results. You will have the opportunity to work with business partners, leadership and other software developers, influence and drive product vision and lead the design of our systems.
