Essential Responsibilities Develop and maintain Microsoft PowerBI reports, dashboards, and advanced visualizations to meet business data analytics needs. Work closely with the deployment team, business analysts, clients etc. to understand the needs / requirements / issues to develop and maintain reports and visualizations needed Respond to user feedback to continually improve our Analytics reporting tool Analyze multiple medium-difficult business problems and production issues and assess how they can be resolved; Own the resolution of the issue or enhancement or coordinate advanced escalation Work with the team to maintain a secure framework for how data, reports, and dashboards are managed through adherence to standards and security guidelines Write technical and functional documentation as required, and provide user training. Learn and develop new visualization techniques as required to keep up with contemporary visualization design and presentation Develop and maintain Oracle DB views and materialized views to support analytics reporting requirements. Develop and maintain Oracle DB packages and stored procedures views to support analytics reporting requirements. Execute unit to release testing and post-production release validation Adhere to proper Change / Release control proceduresSkills, Knowledge, and Education A BS or Masters degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline is required 3+ years of Power BI development experience 3+ years of PL/SQL (preferred) or MS/SQL or T-SQL experience. 3+ years of Relational dB experience (Oracle preferred). Expertise in using Microsoft Power BI Desktop and Cloud to develop visually compelling analytics and deploying Power BI reports to on-premises report server and Cloud service. Proven ability to create, publish, and manage Workspaces and Apps within Power BI Services. Experience working with dataset ingestion, data model creation, reports, dashboards, KPIs, Power BI Pro features, workspaces and security. Hands-on experience in Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) for formula creation and Power Query for data prep Knowledge and experience with Dashboard and Visualization best practices. Experience eliciting and documenting requirements for Analytics solutions. Capacity to develop complex SQL queries Working knowledge of dB views, materialized views, Packages and Stored Procedures. Working knowledge reporting from a Data Warehouse environment Familiarity with dimension and facts and relational models, Star and Snowflake Schemas Ability to work collaboratively with business users and understand many different business areas Self-motivated with ability to work independently without close supervision Ability to handle concurrent responsibilities and tasks under pressure and within required timeframes Strong trouble shooting skills and problem resolution; Ability to troubleshooting data issues from target back to source alone or in a team setting Self-motivated with ability to work independently without close supervision Ability to handle concurrent responsibilities and tasks under pressure and within required timeframes Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with internal and external teams.
