This position is for candidates with the ability to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives
Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested
Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on
Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable
Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision
Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers Requirements - Detailed and have the ability work independently
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Strong analytical capabilities and discernment
Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills
1+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Skilled with ERP systems
Adeptness in inventory analysis
Strong familiarity with Pivot Table
Comprehensive knowledge of general ledger
Microsoft Excel experience preferred
Foundational knowledge in journal entries
Experience with month end closings
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
