Description A thriving company in the Construction/Contractor industry is on the search for a permanent Senior Accountant to join their team in the Dallas, Texas area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This position offers you great long-term potential and a strong compensation and benefits package. This Senior Accountant role is with a company in the Construction/Contractor field and is located in Dallas, Texas.Major responsibilities
Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors Requirements - Current and relevant ERP system experience
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Ability to meet deadlines
Deep understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Foundational knowledge in Accounts Receivable (AR)
Support purchasing experience
Month end closings experience
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
Able to manage time well
Top notch analytical, quantitative and social skills
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
