Surgery Scheduling SpecialistFast-paced, high-volume clinic looking for a top skilled Surgery Scheduling SpecialistWork location: 3060 Communications Parkway – Suite 100 Plano, TX 75093Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly; Monday thru Friday, (8:00am – 5:00pm)Department Highlights:· Teamwork Environment· Bonus Opportunities· Patient Care FocusedHere’s What You Need· High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)· Two years or related experience in a healthcare environment (Neurosurgery) (PREFERRED)· EPIC experience (STRONGLY PREFERRED)What You Will Do· Schedule all inpatient and outpatient surgery and medical procedures, tests and studies ordered by the physician· Conduct physician pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care· Ensure all required tests needed prior to surgery are done· Coordinate and ensure necessary equipment is ordered, room availability/scheduled, pre-surgery medication, etc., is arranged prior to scheduled procedure· Schedule any necessary follow-up appointments, communicates and answers patients’ questions regarding surgery preparation instructions, arrival/departure instructions relative to procedureAdditional perks of being a Texas Health employee· Benefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flex spending, tuition reimbursement, Student Loan Repayment Program as well as several other benefits.· Delivery of high quality opatient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice.· Strong Unit Based Council (UBC).· A supportive, team environment with outstanding opportunities for growth.Entity Highlights:Texas Health Physicians Group includes more than 1,000 physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants dedicated to providing quality, patient-safe care at more than 240 offices located throughout the DFW Metroplex.
