Description We are on the lookout for a Systems Security Administrator for a 100% remote, part-time opportunity. This role will contribute significantly to the cybersecurity Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) practice and policy lifecycle management process within our company. Responsibilities Participate actively in the development, management, and enhancement of the company's cybersecurity Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) practice. Lead the maturation and maintenance of various governance and compliance processes and functions. Play an integral role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of information security governance items such as policies, standards, and controls. Engage collaboratively with customer business and IT/Security for NIST compliance. Deliver recommendations for security enhancements to protect computer systems, networks, and data. Participate in the creation of enterprise security documents like policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures. Evaluate technical controls and recommend appropriate solutions. Participate actively in weekly project strategy and planning meetings with business leaders.Requirements
Experience in Cybersecurity assessments, IT and cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, and controls and Cybersecurity metrics and reporting.
Understanding of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) principles and their application within a systems security context.
Knowledge of Firewall Technologies and their effective implementation in a secure network environment.
Experience with ISO, PCI DSS, NIST frameworks
Security certifications are preferred
Experience in the defence industry preferred
