AECOM is seeking a Transportation Planner II to join the transportation team in the Dallas, Texas office. This position is expected to begin in May 2025.The position provides the opportunity to work on multi-modal transit planning, such as light rail, commuter rail, high speed rail, bus rapid transit, and microtransit, among other transit-supportive studies. The selected candidate will support efforts such as feasibility studies, alternative analyses, public involvement and outreach activities, transit operations planning, zero-emission studies, strategic plans, rural transit projects, transit consolidation studies, grant writing, and transit policy and research projects.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Supports planning studies and reports for new and updated plans and programs.Collects a variety of statistical data and prepares reports and maps on topics, such as census information, land use, roadway network, crash records, and asset inventories.Works with the planning team to conduct equitable public outreach, preparing materials and presentations.Analyzes data and prepares detailed maps for use on thematic maps and in reports.Conducts concept-level evaluation of transit/transportation improvement options.Documents and presents findings on transit/transportation planning projects.Researches current transportation-related topics at local, State, and Federal levels.Assists with other duties assigned by senior staff and/or Project Managers.This position will involve planning and project development activities for transportation projects under the supervision of more senior staff.
