Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Heart & Vascular Specialists Fast-paced, high-volume clinic is looking for top skilled LVN Work location: 1000 Flower Mound Road, Flower Mound, TX 75028 Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Thursday, 8:00am – 5:00pm & Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm Travel: 25% to surrounding clinics in Flower Mound & Denton as needed ( mileage reimbursement provided ) This position will perform ETT stress testing, cross-train in Nuclear stress testing, perform IV start or gain training after starting with the clinic, help out nursing staff such as rooming patients, vitals, nurse calls and other nurse duties when not busy in the stress lab. Candidate can also expect to perform Definity contrast, Bubble studies, and Dobutamine stress testing for Echo department. Heart & Vascular Specialists Department Highlights:

Here’s What You Need

LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse upon hire (required)

Accredited School of Practical Nursing Program (required)

ACLS/BLS upon hire (required)

Strong knowledge of EKG rhythm/arrhythmias (strongly preferred)

Starting IV’s (strongly preferred)

1 year LVN experience (preferred)

Knowledge of basic nursing processes and understanding of healthcare technology, equipment, and supplies

Knowledge of state law on nursing care, nurse practice guidelines, and clinic policies and procedures

Ability to effectively communicate to staff and patients

Demonstrate sound judgment and composure

Ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations

Maintain a positive, caring attitude towards staff and patients

Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

Efficient time management skills

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the LVN Process

Perform ETT (Exercise Tolerance Test)

Assist Echo dept by performing stress portion of Stress Echo

IV starts and assist for Dobutamine Stress Test, Definity Contrast Echo and Contrast Bubble Study

Cross train in ETT function of the Nuclear Stress lab

Prepare preliminary reports for stress tests

Assist with nurse staff duties, such as: rooming patients, vitals, patient calls, EKGs, Holter monitor application

Perform other duties as assigned
