Description Robert Half has an immediate need for a paralegal with litigation experience for a contract to hire opportunity supporting a nonprofit organization in Fort Worth, Texas. A candidate who possesses a strong drive to succeed, savvy computer skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize will be the ideal fit for this position.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with case development by conducting factual and legal research, assisting with evidence searches and with preparation of document requests and responses, and preparing public records requests.
Prepare legal correspondence and other documents. Organizing and tracking case documents. Filing documents with the court.
Organizing and archiving the documents related to completed and ongoing cases
Maintain litigation calendar
Communicate with clients and/or their family members
Provide support to law clinics
Provide comprehensive support to the executive director including scheduling and administrative tasks
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Certificate of completion from an ABA-approved paralegal certification program of education and training, or an associate degree in paralegal studies.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
Experience with federal and state e-filing.
Experience with Clio legal software strongly preferred
5+ years criminal law experience preferred
