Dallas Parkway, Frisco, TX 75053Work hours: Full Time Day shift; Rotating weekends and holiday requirementsMedical Surgical Department highlights:· 30-bed General Medical Surgical Tele unit – fast paced, quick turnover· Experience with tele, surgical, plastics, bariatrics, spine highly preferred.· 1:5 patient ratio, PCT for every 10-15 patientsHere’s What You Need:· LVN – Licensed Vocational Nurse upon hire required· 6 months in an acute care hospital setting or completion of THR residency program required· BCLS – Basic Cardiac life Support prior to providing independent patient are and maintained quarterly required· Previous LVN experience in an acute care setting helpfulWhat You Will Do:· Collaborates with team to facilitate hourly rounding and initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information· Safely administers medication in accordance with medication administration guidelines.· Serves as patient advocate· Works in partnership with peers, other disciplines, and unlicensed assistive personnel.· In collaboration with RN incorporates evidence-based practice and research to monitor and continuously impact outcomes· Individualizes care measures to reflect specific patient population.
