Description We are currently looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team in Frisco, Texas. The role involves managing the entire payroll process and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for handling payroll-related inquiries and maintaining accurate records. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Manage the complete payroll process including processing bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll for all employees using UKG software. Update and maintain employee payroll records such as salary changes, deductions, bonuses, and benefits. Validate payroll data for accuracy and completeness, ensuring proper timekeeping, overtime, and deductions. Generate, review, and distribute payroll reports for internal use and audits as required. Utilize your in-depth knowledge of UKG software to streamline payroll processes, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions for process improvements. Address and resolve payroll inquiries from employees regarding pay, deductions, taxes, and benefits. Reconcile payroll data with financial records and coordinate with the finance team on any discrepancies. Assist with quarterly and annual tax filings and compliance, ensuring timely submission of tax reports. Coordinate with HR to ensure accurate benefits deductions and updates in the payroll system. Assist in payroll audits and provide supporting documentation as needed.Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a must. Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required. Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now will be advantageous. Knowledge of Ceridian and Dayforce will be beneficial. Understanding of 401k - RRSP Administration is desired. Familiarity with About Time software would be an added advantage. Proficiency in Accounting Functions is required. Auditing skills are necessary. Knowledge of Benefit Functions is essential. Experience with UltiPro software will be considered a plus. Prior experience in Payroll processing is crucial.
