Sr. Data Analyst

Senior Data AnalystThe Senior Data Analyst performs complex analytics and statistical modeling on large data sets that identify current market sector trends and customer patterns. This job is responsible for examining and identifying data patterns and trends that help answer business questions and improve decision-making. Under limited supervision, the Senior Data Analyst job is responsible for collecting data sources, analyzing and extracting key data and information. This job also evaluates and monitors data quality to meet the organization's information system needs and requirements.Key Responsibilities and Duties

Applies mathematical, statistical, and economic techniques that determine market conditions, project consumer needs and inform business initiatives.

Utilizes trends found from modelling to inform other lines of business such as product development and marketing decisions.

Creates data mining models, statistical reporting and data analysis methodologies to identify key customer segments and to simulate impact of potential future business decisions.

Participates in development of detailed reports and conclusions for business, finance, and investment management based on data summaries.

Identifies areas of opportunity and risk through data analysis and modelling.

Provides information for additional research and analysis in line with statistical methodology.

Partners with other areas of the business to model the potential outcomes of implementing various business strategies.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience Required

Financial Services experience required.

SQL experience with the ability to do stored procedures

Experience with AWS or google cloud for storage and managing data

Experience extracting data from Snowflake, AWS RedShift or Google BiqQiery

Preferred:

Experience working with Data Engineers to ensure data pipeline is optimized for analytical purposes.

Experience analyzing large datasets to identify patterns, insights that can drive business decision in the financial services arena focusing on Annuity Products, Mutual Funds, Brokerage, etc.

Experience writing Python or cloud native tools scripts to SQL query, stored procedures clean and process data more efficiently.

  • Data Engineer I A Data Engineer I works alongside senior Data Engineers, Information Architects, Data Scientists, and other stakeholders to design and maintain small to moderate data models. The Data Engineer I is responsible for day-to-day monitoring and maintaining small to medium-scale databases that support web applications and other digital services. The Data Engineer I is responsible for supporting reports that provide accurate and timely data for internal and external clients. The incumbent will assist with advancing a data infrastructure that powers our ability to make timely and data-driven decision. This role requires an entry-level familiarity of data architecture and extraction & manipulation of data sets of small to medium sizes. Position Responsibilities: Design and Methodology Perform day-to-day monitoring of critical business flows and take ownership of triaging incidents. Create and maintain data tables in data analysis tools (i.e., Informatica, Snowflake). Utilize data from multiple cloud sources and develop/maintain dashboards.
