Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the manufacturing industry located in Clear Lake, Texas. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, where you will be responsible for handling vendor inquiries, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate financial records. This work schedule will be Hybrid, working from home on Mondays and Fridays, and MANDATORY IN OFFICE Tuesday - Thursday. Responsibilities: Efficiently process customer credit applications and maintain accurate credit records Handle vendor inquiries regarding invoice status and provide timely responses Utilize SAP for various accounting tasks and maintain a high level of proficiency in its use Assess and decide whether an invoice should be accrued based on accrual experience Display purchase orders and monitor vendor payment history Posting of both PO and non-PO invoices Utilize intermediate Excel skills in performing various accounting tasks Conduct regular auditing of accounts and take appropriate action where necessary Utilize ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and other accounting software systems for various accounting functions Process Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and maintain accurate recordsRequirements Possession of a minimum of 3 years of experience in the Accounts Payable (AP) role in the Manufacturing industry 2+ years of SAP experience Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with Account Coding Ability to perform various Accounting Functions Understanding of Accrual Accounting Experience in Auditing Strong attention to detail and ability to work under strict deadlines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High degree of accuracy and precision in work.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
