Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Commercial Litigation Attorney in Houston, Texas. This role involves representing clients in various aspects of business disputes and litigation in a full-service law firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and reviewing complex legal documents, developing litigation strategies, and conducting necessary legal research. Responsibilities: Represent clients in business disputes and litigation Draft, review and edit complex pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, and other legal documents Develop and implement litigation strategies to guide and drive the direction of litigation Negotiate and resolve disputes or litigations in the best interest of clients Conduct legal research to stay updated with prevailing laws and regulations Regularly communicate with clients, opposing counsels, courts, and others to manage cases effectively Handle case management software and document management tasks Administer complaint handling and claim administration duties Engage in civil litigation, commercial litigation, and complex commercial litigation tasks Leverage civil litigation experience and complex litigation skills in day-to-day work Requirements Qualifications:
Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
Current license to practice law in Texas.
Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on commercial litigation experience, preferably in a law firm.
Exposure to construction litigation is a plus!
Proven track record of advocating and winning complex business litigation for clients.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
