Description We are in search of a Controller for a manufacturing company located near the Galleria. Texas. Occupying a key role in the financial industry, the Controller will be tasked with managing and overseeing all financial transactions and reports, ensuring accurate financial recording, and implementing effective financial strategies and controls. Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of accounting; billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and various special analyses.Manufacturing/ Standard cost accounting Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report. Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance. Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget. Direct and coordinate company financial planning and budget management functions. Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts. Work with department managers to develop five-year business plans. Assist in establishing short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures. Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the department’s goals and objectives. Serve as primary government liaison relative to financial issues.Requirements Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Controller Proven experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting Proficient in Microsoft Excel Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills Exceptional leadership and management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field is required Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Experience with financial software systems is a plus Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
