Electronic Assembly Technician

The Electronic Assembly Technician will be working within a supportive, inclusive team in a fast-paced, progressive environment. Weatherford provides training, excellent benefits, and fantastic career progression.The Electronic Assembly Technician will be assisting in the development of new and existing products and projects. Ability to support multiple projects with soldering expertise and documentation of new and existing assemblies. Works with other members of the engineering staff to ensure that projects/products are completed in a timely manner. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.Responsibilities:

Solder a variety of PCB assemblies using hand solder techniques or a hand stencil printer and a reflow oven.

Develop and setup reflow oven profiles.

Develop and assist with assembly processes.

Collaborate with the PCB development staff to ensure proper assembly of PCB assemblies

QUALIFICATIONS:Required:

5+ years of experience in hand soldering of HMP (5% Sn / 93.5% Pb / 1.5% Ag). Training certification a plus.

5+ years of experience in hand soldering of SN96. Training certification a plus.

Experience with inspection, cleaning of electronic circuit boards and solder joints per IPC standards.

Ability to understand electronic schematic symbols.

Experience in the use of a hand stencil printer.

Knowledge of integrated circuit component packaging.

Preferred:

Experience in the use of a reflow oven.

Experience in the use of a reflow oven profiler.

IPC-A-610G certification a plus.
