Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Insurance Verification Coordinator in Houston, Texas, United States. As part of our team, you will be crucial to verifying insurance coverage for patients and ensuring that their procedures are covered by their respective insurance providers. You will need to have a solid understanding of medical insurance verification and medical terminologies, as well as the ability to handle sensitive information responsibly. Responsibilities: Conduct verification duties by contacting insurers and making inquiries regarding patient enrollment and necessary procedures Maintain, scan, and manage various documents, including forms, while ensuring the security and confidentiality of all sensitive data Utilize fax and email services to transmit required documents Engage in detailed discussions regarding enrollment with various stakeholders Execute extensive data entry tasks while maintaining high levels of accuracy Collaborate with team members to meet or surpass performance metrics Leverage your CRM, Microsoft Excel, and Data Entry skills to manage patient accounts and take appropriate actions Provide clerical support, handle inbound calls, and manage claim administration, among other clerical duties Oversee insurance verifications and medical insurance verification tasks Balance multiple tasks and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Requirements Proficiency in CRM software to manage customer relationship and data. Ability to handle answering inbound calls professionally and efficiently. Experience with authorizations, specifically in the insurance sector. Understanding and ability to perform benefit functions related to insurance. Familiarity with billing functions and procedures. Experience in claim administration, with a focus on insurance claims. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data processing and analysis. Ability to perform clerical duties with attention to detail and accuracy. Willingness to provide clerical support to other team members when necessary. Strong data entry skills, with an emphasis on speed and accuracy. Experience in insurance verifications, particularly in a healthcare setting. Knowledge of medical insurance verification processes and procedures.
