Description We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Administrator to join our team and help maintain the integrity and efficiency of our technology infrastructure. As an IT Admin, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our hardware, software, and network systems, ensuring smooth daily operations for the entire organization. Install and configure software and hardware components to ensure usability.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely and via phone.
Assist employees or users with the installation, configuration and ongoing usability of system hardware and software.
Offer daily operations and systems support to personnel.
Verify functionality of hardware and software components.
Conduct regular security checks and manage access controls.
Network administration and maintenance, ensuring optimal performance.
Upgrade systems with new software releases and hardware purchases.
Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues encountered by users.
Manage the organization's help desk.
Maintain and verify data backups.
Train personnel on system and software usage.
Regularly update the organization's network and computing environment.
Coordinate with technology vendors and partners.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a relevant field; or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Information Technology.
Proficiency with various operating systems and databases.
Strong knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery methods.
Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms, including Windows Server, Linux, and MacOS.
Documented networking and networking protocol experience (TCP/IP, SMTP, HTTP, routing, switching, etc.).
Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
Motivated self-starter, with a proactive mindset.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure is desirable.
Relevant Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, CompTIA A+ are often advantageous.
Ability to be on call or ensure service availability as agreed with management.
Strong team player with the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
