The ideal candidate will lead and manage all aspects of the division’s data reporting and analysis functions; possess strong technical and analytical skills, able to manage large sets of data, able to dissect and frame data analysis for management. Able to provide analysis that leads to actionable data. Examines trends and performs benchmarking as needed. Manipulates big data to develop trends and summaries. Participates in special projects as needed. Develop data-driven support to ensure resources are utilized in the most effective way. May participate on task teams and committees. Able to pivot and shift focus based on operational needs or at the direction of the Deputy Director or his/her designee.WORKING CONDITIONSThis position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc. Work is performed in an office environment.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSRequires a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance or a field directly related to the job.EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSFour years of professional experience in accounting, budget analysis, finance, public administration or a field directly related to the job are required.Substitutions: Experience cannot be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree requirement. A Master’s degree in a field directly related to the job may substitute for two years of the above experience requirement. LICENSE REQUIREMENTSNonePREFERENCESPreference shall be given to candidates who:
Have experience with data analysis using software such as Tableau or Power BI
Have experience working with systems and technology
Have experience managing databases
Have experience writing queries using SQL, Python, R, or similar methods
Are proficient with MS Excel
Demonstrate a proven ability to work well within a team environment
