MD Anderson's mission is to eliminate cancer in Texas, the nation and the world through exceptional programs that integrate patient care, research and prevention.The Medical Oncology unit at MD Anderson Cancer Center specializes in Phase One Clinical Trials, telemetry and internal medicine. It is a 48 bed unit.The shift for this position is considered day/evening. This means you must be able to work a combination of 8 and 12 hour shifts. 7a-3pm or 3pm-11pm and the 12-hour shift is 7a-7pm. You also must be able to work at least two weekends out of the month.SUMMARYProvides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse.Scope Impacts patient comfort and outcome of care.Essential Job FunctionsActs as member of a multidisciplinary team that identifies and addresses patient care needs. Assists in completion of activities of daily living, mobilization, admit/discharge and obtaining vital signs. Updates and retrieves patient information.
