A Postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Experimental Therapeutics, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, United States. This position reports to Dr. Sara Zanivan, Associate Professor in the Department of Experimental Therapeutics.We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to perform hands-on experiments focused on metabolic regulation of the immune microenvironment in epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC), particularly to understand the role and mechanisms by which cancer associated fibroblasts influence the immune microenvironment and response to therapy. The Postdoctoral Fellow will conduct experiments, perform data analysis and prepare manuscripts in addition to attending lab meetings, journal clubs, and research seminars.LEARNING OBJECTIVESThe Postdoctoral Fellow's primary research focus is to help the PI merge mechanistic insights with the translational objectives of experimental therapeutics and to address unmet clinical needs in ovarian cancer. The Postdoctoral Fellow will train, learn and study design, data analysis and manuscript writing.ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTSIndividuals with a PhD degree in cancer biology, metabolism, cell biology, molecular biology, immunology, or related fields with less than 2 years of postdoctoral experience. Experience with rodent studies is required for this role. Candidate should have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. Proven track record of publications, excellent written and oral communication skills are required.POSITION INFORMATIONMD Anderson offers full-time postdoc positions with a salary ranging from $64,000 to $76,000 (https://trainees.mdanderson.org/apply/mdaPostdoctoralFellowStipendFY24.pdf) . depending on the number of years of postgraduate experience.
