Anderson Cancer Center is to eliminate cancer in Texas, the nation, and the world through outstanding programs that integrate patient care, research and prevention, and through education for undergraduate and graduate students, trainees, professionals, employees and the public.Reporting to the Administrative Director of Academic Affairs, the Program Manager for Faculty Onboarding and Training will be responsible for developing and managing in-person and online digital education programs for faculty onboarding and faculty leader training at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (MD Anderson). This position will oversee the creation of content, including filming, editing, and uploading videos and digital educational materials. In-person sessions will be held in the Faculty Collaborative Space, where the Program Manager will facilitate new faculty hires' orientation, helping them understand the organization and resources available for any issues. Additionally, this role will be responsible for setting up and maintaining a digital platform that promotes faculty training and onboarding.JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIESo Content Creation and Management:
Develop comprehensive onboarding and training content for new faculty and faculty leaders, including both digital and in-person materials.
Plan, film, edit, and upload educational videos and digital content to the designated platform.
Ensure all content is up-to-date, relevant, and aligned with institutional goals and policies.
Create a Faculty Toolkit and a Chair Toolkit platform.
o In-Person Training Sessions:
Facilitate in-person onboarding sessions for new faculty hires in the Faculty Collaborative Space.
Introduce new faculty to the organization, providing essential information about institutional policies, procedures, and resources.
Conduct interactive workshops and training sessions to enhance faculty members' understanding and integration into the institution.
o Digital Platform Management:
Set up and maintain a digital platform dedicated to faculty training and onboarding.
Set up and maintain a digital platform dedicated to faculty administrative leader training and onboarding (Chair Toolkit).
Manage access to all platforms.
Ensure the platform is user-friendly, accessible, and contains all necessary resources and materials for faculty development.
Regularly update the platform with new content and ensure that existing content remains relevant and useful.
o Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with the Administrative Director of Academic Affairs to align training programs with institutional objectives and priorities.
Collaborate with academic departments and other stakeholders to gather input and feedback on training needs and content.
Communicate effectively with new faculty members, providing guidance and support throughout the onboarding process.
o Continuous Improvement:
Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of onboarding and training programs, incorporating feedback from participants and stakeholders.
Implement best practices and innovative approaches to improve the quality and impact of training sessions.
Stay current with trends in digital education and faculty development to ensure programs remain cutting-edge and effective.
o Other duties as assigned.EducationRequired : Bachelor's degree.ExperienceRequired: Five years related experience to include three years program management experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
