The primary purpose of the Research Data Coordinator position is to develop and maintain a system for controlling data flow for protocols. Develops and maintains databases for collection of research data. Maintains schedules for timely submissions of all grant data. Assists research staff /investigator in the preparation of information and reports for grant submission. Responsible for completion of data forms as requested. They will work closely with the investigators to ensure that the recruitment is on target and resolve any potential problems. They will also participate in record keeping and will facilitate mailing and transporting biological samples collected in this study.Job Specific CompetenciesResearch Subject Management

Evaluates patients for participation in laboratory or clinical trials as assigned.

Assists in follow-up with participants to ensure timely visits and data collection.

Data Management

Coordinates and sends all outgoing material/data to collaborators and coordinating organizations applicable.

Maintains data entry and data editing in the computerized data base and in-house participant files in a timely manner.

Establishes tracking system for specimens, and other clinical data as require.

Assists in the collection of missing and delinquent data from study participants.

Protocol Management

Assists in collection of required source documentation.

Assists in organization and preparation for scheduled audits from the sponsoring agency and the NCI.

Assists in communicating with collaborators related to assigned protocols.

Other duties as assigned.EDUCATION:Required: High school diploma or equivalent.Preferred: Bachelor's degree.EXPERIENCE:Required: Two years of related experience.
