Sr Advanced Project Engineer Sr Advanced Project Engineer for Honeywell International, Inc. in Houston, TXResponsibilities: Provide customer with technical and consulting support. Understand customers, key processes and economic drivers and translate those into business opportunities. Understand Honeywell’s technical product line and provide customer with guidance on application, life cycle management, best practices, benefits, savings, cost and other factors influencing business direction. Design new control system architectures and communicate and obtain customer buy in. Performs technical planning, system integration, verification, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Perform analyses at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, test, installation, operation, maintenance, decommissioning and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Configure, maintain and troubleshoot Honeywell hardware and software including: TDC3000, TPS, Experion PKS systems, process controllers such as PM/APM/HPM and C300 and LCN, UCN as well as Data Hiway and Honeywell’s ethernet based networks Fault Tolerant Ethernet (FTE) and ELCN. Install and manage TPS & Experion PKS Domains and configure/troubleshoot network Switches. Troubleshoot and repair system problems using standard test equipment and hand tools. Support Client/Server architecture. Perform complex software upgrades while maintaining industrial process running (On Process Migrations) and complete hardware upgrades of Clients/Server machines and Process Controllers. Configure and service control system in a Virtual Environment (Virtualization). Assist customers with third party integration. Area Migrations Lead or Branch/Regional Team Lead/Mentor. Regional MAP efforts. Branch Migration champion. Complex Project Scoping & Execution. Planning complex reporting to support Incidents; Provides proactive maintenance support. Drives asset optimization for individual customer.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:Location: Houston, TX40 hours/weekEmployee Referral Fee: $1500If offered employment must have legal right to work in U.S. EOE. YOU MUST HAVE:Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related field and 7 years of experience. Must possess 5 years of experience in the following: configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware and software, including TDC3000, TPS (R5XX, R6XX), Experion PKS systems (R3XX, R4XX), process controllers, including PM/APM/HPM; coaxial cable based networks, including LCN, UCN and Data Hiway; ethernet based networks Fault Tolerant Ethernet (FTE); Installing and managing TPS & Experion PKS Domains and configuring/troubleshooting network Switches; supporting Client/Server architecture; performing complex software upgrades while maintaining industrial process running; completing hardware upgrades of Clients/Server machines and Process Controllers; Understanding of backup tools; Complete understanding and skill on Modbus, RSLinx, OPC DA, OPC UA protocols; Picture Editor and HMIWeb Display builder applications knowledge; full understanding of Control System IO, Analog, Digital; Field busses (Foundation Field bus, ControlNet, Profibus); fire & gas system skills; Virtualization implementation, wireless instrumentation knowledge; developing control strategies for control systems; systems integration; and developing HMI’s graphics, maintaining and troubleshooting different control systems.
