Job DescriptionAn employer is looking for a fully remote Linux System Administrator to sit local to Dallas. This position requires constant interaction with the platform lifecycle as it relates to certification and integration. Weekly, the Linux system engineer will provide summary of work completed and bring up issues that need escalation. Daily, the administrator will develop resolution to complex problems in order to support multiple platforms. The solutions will be based on their strong understanding of the platform and making sure the interoperability is maintained. Troubleshooting will be led by this individual and coordinate work with other organizations and vendors. This position will also develop test cases in order to validate the solution developed and verified assumptions. If working on troubleshooting, they will be leading the calls to recreate the problem when needed, gather information for vendors to provide an RCA within 5 days if it is a complex problem or 2 days if is a medium complexity problem. 1 day for simple problems. This position with also be responsible for transitioning troubleshooting notes, logs, and meeting records into procedures that can be presented to operations for implementation in production. These procedures must be highly organized, detailed, and well-written in order for operations to implement with 100% accuracy many times over.The Linux System Administrator will also create/develop test case automation and tools using Ansible and Python. They will provide input for new test cases for automation to the implementation and verification.
